Brian Brasher is president and CEO of Pitch Hammer Music. Brian oversees all general business operations including new business development, managing the sales, licensing and administration teams as well as international sub-publishers. He is also a co-producer and composer with business partner, Veigar Margeirsson, who oversees the company’s production department. Prior to co-founding Pitch Hammer, Brian was Music Licensing Director at Killer Tracks and Director of Film and TV Licensing at APM Music where he formed their trailer music division. Brasher cut his teeth in the music business as a founding member and Guitar Player for the multi-platinum selling recording artist CREED, a Florida-based rock band that sold over 20 million albums. He is a co-writer and collaborator on two of Creed’s #1 hit songs “What’s this Life For” and “One”. He is a member of the PMA, NARAS, Los Angeles/Atlanta Chapters, NARIP and AIMP. As a composer, producer and songwriter, Brasher likes to collaborate with many other top writers and musicians by fusing his rock and pop skills with orchestral and electronic elements, mashing up darkness with beauty. He has a creative vision way beyond his Rock n’ Roll roots, and by not limiting himself to one style or genre, Brasher creates tracks that rise above the rest with a unique and unmistakable sound that stands alone. The characteristic and mesmerizing style and emotion he expresses through his music make him a highly respected player, producer and composer. Veigar Margeirsson is a film and tv score composer, songwriter and co-founder/VP of Creative at Pitch Hammer Music. Veigar oversees a team of music composers, songwriters, sound designers, producers and mixers who create songs and premium original music scores. As a music composer and songwriter, Veigar is regarded as an industry leader in orchestral scoring with over 2,000 combined placements in motion pictures, television, commercials and trailers. In addition to his promotional work, Veigar has scored many independent films. He won Best Original Score at the 2011 Badalona Film Festival for the acclaimed short film 'In a Heartbeat.' Additionally he has written arrangements and orchestrations for many orchestras such as The LA Philharmonic, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and The Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Veigar is a frequent guest speaker and panelist on the subject of music scoring and licensing, and is a part-time lecturer at the Iceland Academy of the Arts. Veigar is also very well known and respected as a go to resource in the Advertising agency world for commercials and campaigns and sonic logos for brands.
